Storm Cat Energy Corporation to Present at IPAA Oil and Gas Investment Symposium

Storm Cat Energy Corporation (Amex: SCU – News; Toronto: SME – News) today announced that it will be a presenting company at the Independent Petroleum Association of America’s (IPAA) Oil & Gas Investment Symposium West to be held October 3-5, 2006 in San Francisco.
Storm Cat’s President and CEO, J. Scott Zimmerman, is scheduled to present on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 3:55 PM PDT. Zimmerman will update investors on the Company’s coal bed natural gas development program in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin as well as discuss progress on the Company’s exploration projects in Elk Valley British Columbia, Mannville plays in Alberta and the Fayetteville Shale in Arkansas.
