Wildcat Stakes Additional Ground; Jeep Property, Manitoba, Canada
Wildcat Exploration Ltd. is pleased to announce the staking of an additional 835 hectares in four claims on the Jeep Property. This area now encompasses a total of 4,022 hectares on 26 contiguous claims, all ground being prospective for gold, nickel, copper, and Platinum Group Elements.
The current drill program confirmed that the Jeep Property hosts both gold-bearing quartz vein mineralization, as well as magmatogenic sulphides containing anomalous nickel-copper+/-Platinum Group Element concentrations.
Eight kilometers north of the Jeep Mine, previous work in the area of Leaf Lake, published by Hulbert and Scoates (Digital Map and Database of Magmatic Ni-Cu +/- PGE Occurrences and Mafic-Ultramafic Bodies in Manitoba, 2001), report mineralization significant for nickel-copper+/-Platinum Group Element potential. Recent staking, that includes this showing, completed Wildcat’s acquisition of the eight kilometer northern extension of the Jeep
Gabbro. The Jeep Gabbro is prospective for both gold and nickel-copper+/-Platinum Group Element mineralization.
Contact has been initiated with geophysical survey contractors for services to delineate the magmatogenic sulphides occurrences. These occurrences are known to envelop the gold-bearing quartz veins in the area of the Jeep Mine, historically the highest grade gold producing mine in the Rice Lake Greenstone Belt.
Wildcat’s 2007 exploration program on the Jeep Property is being managed by Tim Tuba, P.Geo. and Peter Theyer, P.Geo.; both are Qualified Persons as defined by NI 43-101.
All technical information in this release has been reviewed by Tim Tuba, P.Geo. as the Qualified Person on behalf of Wildcat.
