B-P says it will deduct the cost of fixing corroded pipes at Prudhoe Bay from the new tax system that went into effect last year. In a letter yesterday, B-P Exploration Alaska’s president Doug Suttles said B-P will not attempt to deduct the actual oil spill clean-up costs. He estimates that the 2006 expenses will yield the company eleven million dollars in deductions.
