US company Chevron showed interest in participating in the Bourgas-Alexandroupolis pipeline project.

During his work visit to US, Bulgarian Economy and Energy Minister Roumen Ovcharov met Chevron representatives, Focus news agency reported. The company said it was interested in the construction of a terminal for liquid natural gas in the Bulgarian Black Sea region.

Bourgas-Alexandroupolis pipline will carry oil to the Greek port of Alexandroupolis through the Bulgarian port of Bourgas. The deal had to be finalised on March 6, but was postponed for the middle of March.

Chevron, based in California, operates in the oil and natural gas industry, including exploration, production, refinement and transportation.
