Ressources Appalaches has acquired six new uranium properties on the north shore of the St-Lawrence river in Quebec. The quantification and reinterpretation of previously conducted radiometric surveys has resulted in the identification of several new uranium exploration targets.

Three properties are located on the lower north shore between Natashquan and La Romaine east of the Wakeham group and the other three are located north of Forestville, Godbout and Port-Cartier, respectively, on the upper north shore and one of the properties is located near the Company’s Ashini property. A total of 206 claims have been acquired, covering an area of 114 km2.

Exploration work will begin next week, as anticipated, on the Ashini property and the other properties near Godbout. An additional team will be deployd to explore the new properties. “With this acquisition, Ressources Appalaches has become an important uranium explorer and is strategically well positioned relative to the numerous companies exploring for uranium on the north shore”, declared the Company’s president, Andre Proulx.
