Rusoro Mining Intersects 37m of 9.34 g/t Au and 21m of 4.72 g/t Au in Separate Zones at Increible 6
June 12th, 2007Rusoro Mining Ltd. is pleased to provide another update on results from ongoing drilling at the Increible 6 Project in Bolivar State, Venezuela. The four main zones (Culebra, Elisa, Olga and Cristina) all continue to be enhanced by the results of the 31 drill holes reported in this news release.
- The Culebra Zone has been extended 100m by a series of wide, near surface intercepts which average 1.65 g/t over 68.0 metres and intersected above average grade mineralization in a number of holes within the zone including 9.34 g/t over 37.0 metres.
- The Elisa Zone has been extended a further 50m including drill hole IRS-89 which intersected 4.72 g/t over 21.0 metres and an additional 3.47 g/t over 19.0 metres.
- A 50 metre step out hole at the Olga Zone intersected the best intercept to date with a weighted average of 3.31 g/t Au over 17.0 metres.
- Drilling at the Cristina Zone returned 3.65 g/t Au over 10m and 2.54 g/t Au over 16m.
The majority of the recent results received have been for the Culebra Zone. The Company is particularly encouraged by the significant extensions along strike by the series of wide, near surface intercepts including: 1.83 g/t over 58.0m, 1.46 g/t over 77.0m, and 1.67 g/t over 39.0m which all enter mineralization from 12m to 40m of surface. On a second sub-parallel structure 20 metres to the north being drilled as part of the in-fill program, drill hole IRS-189 intersected 9.34 g/t over 37.0 metres from 31.0 to 68.0 metres.
These current results are considered extremely positive for each of the four main areas that make up the Increible 6 project to date. The 31 drill holes represent a total of 4532 metres of drilling which was completed during April and May 2007.
There are currently three diamond drills and one RC drill working on the Increible 6 Project. Maps and cross sections detailing the location of the drill holes reported in this release will be posted on the Company’s website at www.rusoro.com.
Diamond drilling was conducted by Core Biel Drilling of Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. RC drilling was completed by AK Drilling of Peru. All drilling and drill sampling have been completed using industry standard practices. All drill core is described in detail and photographed and one half of the core remains for inspection and reference.
Sample analyses have been conducted at SGS labs and Triad Labs located in El Dorado and El Callao, Venezuela. All sample analyses were completed using industry standard practices and standard samples, blanks and duplicate check samples were randomly inserted into the sample stream to ensure quality control. A review of the QA/QC results shows no significant bias and all results are considered highly reliable. Sample rejects for all drill samples are stored in Rusoro’s secure facilities in Tumeremo, Venezuela, and will continue to be available for any further testing which may be required. All QA/QC is completed under the direction of G.F. Smith, P.Geo.
