Carlisle Goldfields Limited has now completed a total of 38 drillholes for a total of 10,626 metres since the 2007 diamond drilling program commenced at the MacLellan Mine. This total includes a number of holes that were re-drilled as they broke into mine workings. Drilling has been concentrated over a length of 800 metres around the Main, Eastmain, and Nisku zones. Mineralization is known to exist over at least 1.6 kilometres and many drill targets remain to be tested both east and west of the mine.

Drilling continues and it is expected another 5-6 drillholes will be completed in this phase of the program for a total in excess of 12,000 metres. A large number of samples of mineralized sections have been taken and shipped to TSL Labs in Saskatoon for analysis. Assay results continue to be received and will be released periodically as this information becomes available.

The initial phase of the program is intended to confirm and expand the “historic” resource at the Maclellan Mine, which produced 144,000 ounces of gold and 432,000 ounces of silver between 1986 and 1989. The Company is on track with its plan to obtain an update to its initial Technical Report, which will include a Resource Estimate, in Q3 this year.

A second phase of drilling will be completed before year end with the objective of increasing the size of the resource, and contributing to a Pre-Feasibility Study being targeted for the end of the year. It is one of the Company’s objectives that much of this drilling take place underground from the mine workings.

Analysis of the information collected to date continues and is contributing to an improved understanding of the presence and distribution of Gold mineralization. The presence of the MacLellan Mine horizon has now been confirmed east, west, and up to 200 metres below the present mine workings. Additional, parallel zones, of mineralization have been observed to the south of the mined areas as well.
