Prime Meridian Resources Corp.: Drilling to Start at Bangston Lake Project
Prime Meridian Resources Corp. is pleased to announce that drilling at the Bangston Lake Project area in Michigan will begin next week on three high priority nickel-copper magmatic targets.
The drilling will test this series of strong and coincident magnetic and electromagnetic targets, which have been verified by ground surveys. They lie beneath, and are also coincident with, soil geochemical anomalies which have been derived from PMR surface sampling within the geophysical grid area. Anomalous elements from the soil survey include nickel, copper and cobalt, as well as vanadium, iron, titanium, and chromium, all of which are indicators of mafic intrusives. Results of geochemical analysis and assays from these four drill holes should be available in six to seven weeks.
Prime Meridian initiated the drill testing of 20 nickel-copper targets in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the spring of this year. Testing of the additional targets at Kiernan Sills project, where drilling has been focused to date, will continue later in the summer as the Company progresses with the testing of each of its targets in the order determined by logistical and timing factors. Selected intervals from cores from Kiernan Sills targets are being sent for lab assays for base and precious metals. Final lab results from the first three drill holes are not expected for 4-6 weeks and will be reported when complete.
The Company’s website, www.primemeridianres.com, has been updated recently and now includes a PowerPoint presentation which describes the Company’s exploration activities to date and provides additional information about the Bangston Project Area on which drilling will soon start.
