Malaysian energy services firm SapuraCrest Petroleum Bhd has won a 3 billion ringgit ($873 million) contract from a unit of state oil firm Petronas [PETR.UL], SapuraCrest said on Friday.

The deal came one day after the company won a 200 million ringgit ($58.2 million) oil pipeline contract from the Malaysian unit of U.S. energy giant Exxon Mobil Corp. .

SapuraCrest said Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd, the exploration arm of Petronas, has extended its three-year contract to transport and install offshore oil facilities by another three years to 2010.

Under the deal, SapuraCrest will lay submarine pipelines and transport and install drilling, production and wellhead platforms for Petronas Carigali’s offshore fields in the states of Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak, it said in a statement.

SapuraCrest shares closed down a sharp 7.7 percent to 2.39 ringgit on Friday. The stock had rise by nearly 30 percent in the past one month.
