Statoil makes new Norwegian Sea gas find

Statoil has discovered gas in the Midnattsol prospect in the Norwegian Sea. The find was made in exploration well 6405/10-1 in production licence 281 where the company is operator.

“It’s positive that a new gas find has been made in a deepwater area of the Norwegian Sea,” says Frode Fasteland, acting head of exploration on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Midnattsol is located some 40 kilometres north of the Ormen Lange field and 30 kilometres south of the Ellida find.

Coastal Petroleum inks drilling deal to test its Montana leases

Coastal Petroleum Company has entered an agreement with Lusora Healthcare Systems, Inc. to begin exploration for natural gas in part of Coastal’s Valley County, Montana leases.

The Formal Agreement begins a relationship between Coastal and Lusora which will allow not only the testing of Coastal’s shallow natural gas prospect, but if productive, the exploitation of the entire field for years to come. Read more » »

Mineral Resources in Asian

Asian Mineral Resources Limited announced today that it has filed its interim second quarter financial statements and MD&A for the six months ended June 30, 2007. The MD&A contains disclosure regarding the status of the Company’s Ban Phuc Project, including recently completed revised capital and operating cost estimates and a revised economic analysis based on these estimates. The revised total estimated capital cost of the project is now US$62.1 million including a US$5.1 million contingency cost.

Extension oil pipeline in Barnett Shale area

To provide pipeline capacities of bigger natural gas to producer in Barnett Shale, Petropac will build pipeline natural gas which is new, 29-mile in North Jhonson County, Texas.

This pipeline ability, low compress and high compress of this channel shifts 400 million cubic feet of gas per day, this plan will be done at second quarter of 2008.

In the early of this channel will be applied to channel natural gas about 80 million cubic feet of gas per day. Deliveries begin indium the third quater of 2007. Full capacity utilization is expected by 2009. This invesment planned to equal to invesment Crosstex in other place.

New oil pipeline to supply South Africa

Petropac has made MoU to make oil channel and gas from Maputo in Mozambique and its supply to markets in South Africa.

This new investment after Petropac on the market by Petroline, a consortium stockholder South African and Mozambican. From this invesment Petropac will get return of certain cost and initial expenses to do study elegibility.

Facility required in doing project, for early stage will be financed by Petropac. Petropac will have a real big role in this project to do exploitation and maximizes the local resource.

Last borehole for save Six Coal Miner Trapped

A seventh borehole being drilled into the mountain is expected to punch through into the mine at 1,865 feet. Yet after 25 days, some families are beginning to acknowledge their loved ones may be dead. The families hope today will provide a miracle.

Exploration of Uranium, Gold and Copper in Province Isabel

Two the biggest companies of exploration of mine, Vulcan Industrial & Mining Corp. and ATN Holdings Inc., Two companies has signed up to do exploration of uranium, gold and copper in province Isabela, Philipines, Thuesday.

Isabela province according to Vulcan is area having prospect to exploration Uranium.

Before exploration is started Vulcan to ask ATN Holding Inc. studies to existence of mine in province Isabela. Result of this study will be loaded in MOA and exploration development program.

This agreement is including operating expenses and facility for mining, recovery, benefaction and sale of other derivative uranium and other’s mining production.

Oil exploration in West Sea not become agenda is meeting on Inter-korea

Commerce, Industry and Energy Minister Kim Young-ju in a seminar tells : in meeting of Inter-Korea in Seoul, solution agenda of problems of exploration of oil in West Sea cannot be decided unilaterally by Seoul.

Because between Korea and China has signed an agreement of exploration of oil to on the sea West, along of in meeting of Inter-Korea problems doesn’t become main priority.
