The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in South Africa. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.

South Africa’s FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index fell 224.84, or 1.1 percent, to 20,492.53.

AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (ANG SJ): Gold for immediate delivery gained for a second day, adding as much as 0.8 percent to $888.20 an ounce. AngloGold, Africa’s largest producer, rose 18.75 rand, or 6.8 percent, to 292.75 rand. Gold Fields Ltd. (GFI SJ), the second-biggest gold producer, gained 5.44 rand, or 5.7 percent, to 100.20 rand.

Pretoria Portland Cement Ltd. (PPC SJ): South African manufacturing tumbled a record 12.9 percent in February, falling for the fifth straight month, according to the median estimate of four economists surveyed by Bloomberg. The statistics office is scheduled to publish the data at 1 p.m. local time.

PPC, Africa’s largest producer of cement, declined 1.40 rand, or 4.1 percent, to 33.10 rand.

Sasol Ltd. (SOL SJ): The world’s largest producer of motor- fuel-from coal signed an agreement with Indonesia’s Petroliam Nasional Bhd. and Uzbekneftegaz to build a gas-to-fuels plant in Uzbekistan. Sasol fell 7.70 rand, or 2.9 percent, to 261.30 rand.

Anglo American Plc (AAUK US) dropped 4.3 percent to $9.49. AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (AU US) gained 2.6 percent to $31.80. BHP Billiton Ltd. (BBL US) dropped 4.3 percent to $40.05. DRDGold Ltd. (DROOY US) slid 2.2 percent to $7.04. Gold Fields Ltd. (GFI US) gained 4.3 percent to $10.95. Harmony Gold Mining Co. (HMY US) rose 1.1 percent to $9.34. Impala Platinum Holdings Co. (IMPUY US) declined 3.1 percent to $17.67. Sappi Ltd. (SPP US) dropped 4.5 percent to $1.91. Sasol Ltd. (SSL US) fell 5.2 percent to $28.49. Telkom South Africa Ltd. (TKG US) shed 2.4 percent to $46.84.
