Sector Investment Manager To Provide Funds For Development Of Gold Mining And Uranium
September 6th, 2009
Small-scale mining companies are mining companies that have the potential to be developed well, and have a future with the most potential for growth. But the constraints faced by small-scale mining companies are funding to develop the mining exploration operations. To help small-scale mining companies, launched the Sector Investment Manager investment financing program for small-scale mining companies.
The fund primarily invests in small and mid-cap mining companies, which are often under researched and has a future with the most potential for growth. Approximately 70% of the portfolio will be invested in mining companies and gold funds will also invest in other precious metals miner, base metals and uranium.
Until 30 September 2009 all investors will be able to buy shares of institutional class funds, with no minimum investment, which offers start-up costs only 0.5% (4.75% lower than retail cost for stock) and 0.25% lower management costs annual.
Jim Slater, who has more than 35% of the Sector Investment Managers, said, “We believe gold prices tend to rise as investors seek safe-haven investment amid fears of U.S. dollar weakness and inflation. The difference between the prices of mining stocks and gold prices were the highest has been over the years and small and mid cap companies, in particular, must benefit from this in the next phase of market recovery.
“A major new discovery has a disproportionate effect on the market capitalization of small companies that are also more likely to be taken over as the industry continues to consolidate.”
Angelos Damaskos, Chief Executive Officer of Sector Investment Manager and Junior Mining fund adviser said:
“The funds will focus on companies that already have significant resources, with an active drilling program. We will apply our expertise and proven track record in analyzing and identifying the company’s smaller capitalization with the potential to excel. Investment will be diversified across the region’s most promise for future discoveries, but will avoid the political territory that is not safe where there is risk of expropriation or armed conflict. ”
