Bolivia Plans To Continue Sales Of Lithium Mining Exploration Contracts

Lithium mining deposits in Bolivia is the largest lithium mine in the world. If the lithium mining exploration work, then Bolivia will become the supplier of raw materials in the world’s largest lithium.

The results of the contract will help fund a $ 800 million plant planned for lithium carbonate in Uyuni, said Freddy Beltran, mining director at the Ministry of Mines. Factory will start commercial output of a white granular metal compounds, carbon and oxygen in the year 2014, Beltran said yesterday in an interview in La Paz.
“We believe we will not have problems financing industrial projects,” Beltran said outside the conference on lithium-based technologies organized by the Bolivian government.
Potential bidders include a group led by the French Bolloré Eramet SA and SA, as well as Japanese group consisting of Mitsubishi Corp and Sumitomo Corp.
