Essar Group Plans To Acquire Coal Mining Assets In South Africa

Essar Group is a mining company that helps fulfill the coal supply in India. Every year Essar supply 6 million tons of coal. The Company has a contract with the Indian government to supply coal for 25 years.

To increase coal production, Essar Group plans to acquire coal assets in South Africa. South Africa as an asset acquisition targets coal mines, because some areas in South Africa has coal mining deposits promising.

Essar director for Middle East and Africa said, “We have the power to develop and grow the business in India that requires a lot of raw materials and we try to ensure that the raw materials from South Africa. We must meet their obligations and therefore requires stable and competitive prices raw materials to meet our obligations. ”
