Reconnaissance sampling in Fish Lake Valley have found lithium values from 249-1020 ppm lithium (Li), with an average of 610 ppm Li in the clay sediments on the playa. By comparison USGS sampling in 1976 in the Salt Pan at Clayton Valley which produces Chemetall Foote `s Silver Peak Lithium salt water area is located, determined that the maximum value obtained in similar sediments is 640 ppm, the minimum is 59 ppm, and the average is 259 ppm Li.
Fish Lake Valley is a lithium-enriched Playa is located in west central Nevada Esmeralda County in the north. Ownership companies covering an area of approximately 6400 hectares.
