India Government Handed Over Development Coal Mines To NTPC

Indian coal ministry sent a letter to the Ministry of Power to allocate coal mines blocks to NTPC. Coal mines handed over to NTPC many as five coal mines, consisting of : Pakri-Barwadih, Kerandari, chatti-Bariatu, Dulanga and Talaipalli. Potential of the five coal mines is estimated to reach 48 million tons per year.
NTPC said that, in accordance with international standards, it takes about 6-7 years to develop a coal mine. In a 50:50 joint venture with Coal India, the company also develops and Brahmini coal blocks Chichropatsimal in the Indian state of Orissa.
Delivery development of coal mines to NTPC is expected to increase coal production, so that supply of coal for electricity energy.
