Oil Mining Exploration Company Develope Oil Shale Projects

Mr. Marc Dame, President and CEO of Goldnev Resources Inc., announces that it has completed drilling a total of four of its planned ten core hole exploration and development drilling program on its oil shale permits in Pasquia Hills, Saskatchewan. The remaining six core holes subject to weather conditions are expected to be completed in the next 10 days.

US Oil Mining Exploration, Actively Exploring For Oil And Natural Gas In The United States Rose By 23 This Week

The number of rigs actively exploring for oil and natural gas in the United States rose by 23 this week to 1,990.

Of the rigs running nationwide, 1,586 were exploring for natural gas and 395 for oil, Houston-based Baker Hughes Inc. reported Friday. Nine were listed as miscellaneous.

A year ago, the rig count stood at 1,795.

The notion that the United States is spending $700 billion on foreign oil is finding its way into Rush Limbaugh’s radio program, in comments on the Huffington Post, in the forum for devotees of Fountainhead author Ayn Rand, on Slate and, of course, youtube.

U.S to Expand Oil Drilling and Exploration

Rep. Marilyn Musgrave and other supporters of expanded oil exploration in environmentally sensitive areas are engaged in a “cynical ploy” to capitalize on public concern about high gas prices, a leading environmentalist said this week in Fort Collins.

Jason Thielman, Musgrave’s campaign manager, dismissed the criticism.
“Increasing our domestic exploration for energy will improve supply and lower the price of gas,” Thielman said. “Marilyn Musgrave supports drilling as part of a comprehensive energy plan that lessens our dependence on foreign oil and ensures that we aren’t paying millions of dollars to hostile foreign leaders like Hugo Chavez. Democrats’ to Considering Oil and Gas Exploration

Democrat’s through speaker Nancy Pelosi wigwags will support opening of more exploration areas of oil and gas. Some times ago Democrat argues extension activity of exploration area of oil and gas.

In her party’s weekly radio address, Pelosi said opening portions of the Outer Continental Shelf for drilling would be a part of energy legislation that House Democrats intend to put forward in the coming weeks to address oil dependence and high gasoline prices.

Oil Drilling Reported, Antrim Underscores 2Q Production in UK, South American

United Kingdom - Block 211/22a South East and Block 211/23d (’Causeway’)

In July 2008, Antrim completed drilling of the Causeway well 211/23d-18 (Antrim 65.5% and operator) in the UK Northern North Sea. The 23d-18 well drilled a significant oil column, including a new oil accumulation in the Etive Formation. The well was drilled directionally, 93 feet structurally below well 23d-17z, and penetrated an oil column of 50 feet with 25 feet TVD net oil pay in the Ness Formation and an oil column of 15 feet with 8 feet TVD net oil pay in the underlying Etive Formation. Porosity and permeability measurements indicate high quality
reservoirs with average porosity of 20% and permeability measured up to approximately 800 mD.

Philipines Mining Exploration Policy, ASEAN Gas Pipeline Agreement

The Manila government’s policy of secrecy was assailed last week with the exposure of an ASEAN gas pipeline agreement that was kept secret by Philippine President Gloria Arroyo over the last six years.

The fisherfolk alliance Pamalakaya insisted the Memorandum of Understanding on the Trans-ASEAN Gas Pipeline which the Philippine government signed with Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam on July 5, 2002 in Bali, Indonesia was a treaty that needs the approval of two-thirds of the present 23 Philippine senators, but the ASEAN pact was hidden from the approving authority and slipped the scrutiny of the Filipino public. Oil And Gas Exploration Company, Enegi Oil Ready To Drill At Canadian Site

Enegi Oil, the Manchester-based oil and gas exploration company that listed on AIM in March, said it has taken delivery of a rig that may allow it to declare its first proven reserves. The shares climbed 1.6 per cent to 160p.

The drilling is expected to take approximately 80 days.

Production tests to date have produced more than 24,000 barrels of high quality crude, and that TRACS International has estimated the field contains mean resources of 8.6 million barrels of oil equivalent. Read more » »

Cooperation Of Oil Drilling Between Norwegia Oil Companies And Libya

Norwegian oil service company Awilco Offshore ASA said on Tuesday (12 August) that it has received a letter of intent for a multi-well drilling programme for the jack-up drilling rig WilForce from an international operator.

The proposed contract, received through Premium Drilling, covers two firm wells and one optional well offshore Libya.

The firm part of the programme has an estimated duration of 180 days and is valued at USD36.5m.
