GNC Makes Offer To Obtain Australian Coal Mine Company

Gujarat NRE Coke (GNC), the largest Indian metallurgical coke producer that also has coking coal mines in Australia, has made a hostile bid to acquire an Australian company Rey Resources Limited. The latter owns coal, oil and gas tenements in the Canning Basin of Western Australia which has 500 million tonnes of coal resources.
