Mission Oil & Gas and Crescent Point Energy Trust rethink $730M merger deal
The federal government’s decision to tax new income trusts has given Mission Oil & Gas Inc. (TSX:MSO) and Crescent Point Energy Trust (TSX:CPG.UN) cause to rethink their proposed $730-million merger.
The companies said Monday they “have been evaluating the tax consequences of the proposed changes to the Income Tax Act.”
