Exxaro to pay R2bn for Namakwa
South Africa’s Exxaro Resources, the country’s biggest black-owned mining group, will pay R2.015bn to buy the Namakwa Sands project from Anglo Operations Ltd.
Exxaro also said on Friday it would pay R180m for a 26% stake in Anglo Operations’ Black Mountain Mining Ltd zinc and lead mine as well as the Gamsberg zinc project.
