Teck Resources Ltd., Canada’s largest base-metals producer, gained in Toronto after announcing a 15 percent increase in second-quarter profit because of higher coal sales.
Teck rose C$1.25, or 5.1 percent, to C$26 at 4:15 p.m. in Toronto Stock Exchange trading. The shares have climbed more than fourfold this year.
