Foreign firm acquires four Uranium properties in Tanzania
Douglas Lake Minerals Inc has announced the company has successfully acquired four Tanzanian uranium properties that cover an area of approximately 500 square kilometres.

Gazprom net profit doubles
Russian gas monopoly Gazprom said yesterday that net profit doubled in the first half of 2006 as prices for gas in Europe and Russia rose and the firm sold bigger volumes.

Gasoline prices have risen a nickel per gallon in Michigan over the past week.
AAA Michigan reports the average statewide price of regular self-serve is $2.97 per gallon. That’s 73 cents higher than a year ago.
The national average price for gas is $2.85 a gallon.
